Ammonites were shelled cephalopods that died out around 66 million years ago, around the same time as the non-avian dinosaurs. Ammonite fossils have been found a range of sizes, with the largest on record being 1.8 meters in diameter. These adorable mini ammonite fossil pairs are not necessarily crystals but they are the perfect addition to any collection! Most pairs feature an iridescent sheen on the backside of the shells.
